Pools Built for Camden Backyards

We design and build fibreglass pools for homeowners across Camden, managing every stage in-house from the first design sketch through to handover. Over 20 years in the pool and landscaping industry has taught us that builds run smoothest when one crew handles the lot, so we take care of council and Sydney Water approvals, excavation, installation and landscaping ourselves.

Camden blocks vary considerably. We build on established properties near the town centre, where mature trees and narrow side access shape the design, and on newer estates around Oran Park, Gregory Hills and Elderslie, where compact yards and recent fill call for a different approach. We assess your site first, then recommend a shape, access plan and finish that suits it.

The price we quote is the price you pay. Most builds take 8 to 14 weeks from final design approval, and we keep you posted at every stage.

Inside Your Pool Build

We order your pool shell as soon as your approvals come through. Each one is made to measure at the Nexus Pools facility in Yatala, Queensland, taking 8 to 10 weeks to build and deliver. Once we've excavated your site and poured the steel-reinforced bond beam, we crane the shell into position, then back it with a lifetime structural warranty and a lifetime structural osmosis warranty.

We arrange soil testing before we break ground so we know exactly what we're working with. That matters in Camden, where reactive clay in the older suburbs and engineered fill across newer subdivisions each call for a different approach to excavation and backfill.

We also fit equipment that keeps your running costs down, from energy-efficient pumps and LED lighting to pool covers and pump timers that reduce evaporation and maintenance. If you want heating, automation or a water feature, we build it in from the start rather than retrofitting later.

Need paving, retaining walls and planting to finish the space? We handle your landscaping as part of the same build. Get in touch with our team today to start your build.

  • Is a soil test required before installing a pool?

Soil testing is commonly recommended before an in-ground pool is installed, particularly in areas like Camden where ground conditions vary between older suburbs and newer estates. Testing identifies soil composition, drainage capacity and load-bearing characteristics, all of which influence excavation depth, backfill material and structural support.

  • Is a warranty provided on fibreglass pool shells?

Most fibreglass pool manufacturers offer a lifetime structural warranty on the shell, and many also include a lifetime structural osmosis warranty. Equipment such as pumps, filters and lighting is covered separately under individual manufacturer warranties. Warranty documentation is usually issued directly by the shell manufacturer.

  • Can landscaping be done at the same time as a pool build?

Yes, and completing both together often produces a more cohesive result. Coordinating paving, retaining walls and planting with the pool build avoids repeat excavation, protects newly finished surfaces and means access for machinery is only needed once. It also removes the need to manage separate contractors across two projects.

The Billabong Story

A pool build has a lot of moving parts: design, approvals, excavation, installation, finishing, and all the paperwork that ties it together. Most problems happen in the gaps between those parts, when they're split across different companies. Billabong Pool Co. was built to close those gaps, with a small team where every person owns their part of your project and works alongside the others every day.

Chad is your starting point, working with you as our pool planning consultant to shape your ideas, your site and your budget into a plan that's ready to build. Mitch designs your pool and builds it, specialising in residential and boutique construction with high end finishes, so nothing gets lost between the drawing and the finished product. Jacob manages the construction itself, keeping timelines on track and holding every detail to a high standard of quality. Andrew brings the precision that excavation and installation demand, getting the groundwork right so everything after it goes smoothly. And Ellie runs the client side of every build, managing contracts, approvals and scheduling with the thoroughness of a former lawyer and a passion for making the process stress free, from your first phone call to your final handover.

Five people, one project, no gaps. That's the Billabong way.
