One Family, One Team, One Schedule

Handing your backyard over to a builder for a few months takes some trust, so it helps to know who you are dealing with. We are a family-run business, and we keep your Wollondilly build in our own hands from the first design conversation through to the day you swim.

In practice, that means one point of contact instead of a chain of subcontractors passing your job along. We prepare your council and Sydney Water approvals, arrange your Home Building Compensation Insurance and lodge your certifier plans, then keep you posted as each stage clears, so nothing stalls with someone you cannot get hold of.

It also means honest numbers. We price soil removal and landscaping into your original proposal, so no extras appear halfway through the build. Most pools take 8 to 14 weeks from final design approval, and you will know where yours is at every stage.

Call Billabong Pool Co. on 1800 639 870 to talk through your Wollondilly pool.

What Happens After You Sign

Most people have never seen what happens between signing a contract and swimming in a finished pool, so we tell you upfront. Once your approvals come through, we excavate, pour a steel reinforced bond beam around the pool edge and give it five to seven days to cure. Your shell is craned in, filled and connected, and the tiling, paving and planting follow.

We are careful about what all that leaves behind. Soil, rubble and packaging from your site go to recycling wherever we can manage it, and the pumps, lighting and filtration we install are picked to keep your power and water use down for the years afterwards.

By the time we hand your pool over, you will know how to run your equipment and look after your water, and your shell will carry a lifetime structural warranty. If something comes up two summers from now, we are still the ones who answer the phone.

  • What is a variation in a pool contract?

A variation is any extra work added after the contract is signed, such as extending a retaining wall or adding screening or plants. Variations should only ever happen at the owner's request and should be confirmed in writing, including the cost, before work starts. Anything else risks becoming a dispute later.

  • Can changes be made once pool construction has started?

After construction starts, changes can be difficult to make, as materials are ordered and structural work is underway. If you need to change something, let us know as early as possible; we’ll try to help, but it may lead to additional charges or delays. Finalising all design choices upfront is the best way to avoid issues.

  • Can a pool be built more sustainably?

Yes. Energy-efficient pumps, LED lighting, water-saving filtration systems and pool covers all reduce power and water use over the life of the pool. Pump timers, rainwater tanks and solar can cut running costs further. Builders can also reduce waste by recycling soil, rubble and packaging during construction, and by using natural stone or low-impact finishes.

The Billabong Story

A pool build has a lot of moving parts: design, approvals, excavation, installation, finishing, and all the paperwork that ties it together. Most problems happen in the gaps between those parts, when they're split across different companies. Billabong Pool Co. was built to close those gaps, with a small team where every person owns their part of your project and works alongside the others every day.

Chad is your starting point, working with you as our pool planning consultant to shape your ideas, your site and your budget into a plan that's ready to build. Mitch designs your pool and builds it, specialising in residential and boutique construction with high end finishes, so nothing gets lost between the drawing and the finished product. Jacob manages the construction itself, keeping timelines on track and holding every detail to a high standard of quality. Andrew brings the precision that excavation and installation demand, getting the groundwork right so everything after it goes smoothly. And Ellie runs the client side of every build, managing contracts, approvals and scheduling with the thoroughness of a former lawyer and a passion for making the process stress free, from your first phone call to your final handover.

Five people, one project, no gaps. That's the Billabong way.
